When EJ&E SD9 615 was scrapped in Gary, large chunks of the unit were loaded into a gondola and sent to Hupp, Inc. in Chicago Heights, IL...the CN's contract scrapper. I was lucky enough to be able to purchase this door panel from the high nose...and yes there is a DM&IR logo under the J-ball! Shown with 2 other gems I was lucky to purchase, number boards from SW1200 312 and SD38 650, along with various signs. When CN cleans house, you never know what will wind up at Hupp's!

The track to the left is the Chicago South Shore & South Bend, and the older poles at the far left once belonged to another interurban, The Northern Indiana Railway. The Michigan-Indiana Electric still brings power to communities along this route using the old NI poles, some of which still have visible holes from where the trolley wire brackets were mounted!
