It looks like a viaduct but the Blue Print I have says "Charlesworth Ave. Subway at East Joliet" dated 1911. Seven columns that span over 113 feet support the girders that carried the five rails across Charleworth Ave (down to four rails today)o

It looks like a viaduct but the Blue Print I have says "Charlesworth Ave. Subway at East Joliet" dated 1911. Seven columns that span over 113 feet support the girders that carried the five rails across Charleworth Ave (down to four rails today)on the north end of the EJ&E Joliet Yard. In one of the far corners, this name plate identifies it's maker.
