The EJ&E Archive and Chicagoland Railfan Chat
This page is designed to be a real time meeting place for people interested in the EJ&E, or simply interested in railroading activity in the Chicagoland area. The chat is open to anyone and does not require registration. Just please be responsible when using it. Below the chat you will find links to railfanning info that could be helpful, such as railroad radio streams, and sites that have train watching info. If you have a mobile device, such as a smart phone, you can potentially chat with other fans while on the road, and also listen to the radio streams while chatting. Feel free to also setup preplanned meets here if you like. Just try to keep it train related and be polite. Thanks.

Chat Box
This chat is very easy to use. Simply enter the name you'd like to use, enter the text in the 'message' field, and hit send. But if you prefer, you CAN save a name, if you don't want anyone else using the name you choose. You can see the options for that if you hit the '+' sign at the top. The chat is for anyone who would like to discuss the EJ&E and/or rail happenings in the Chicagoland area. Unlike other chats, anything you post on this one will stay. So if you'd like to post a heads up for a train so that other people will see it, you can do that. I suggest posting a date and time though, so people will know when the post was made. I would like to see this become a meeting place for people out watching trains. Hopefully it will work on mobile devices. You can click on "Shoutbox" to get just the chat to open by itself, which may work better for a mobile device. Have fun!
